Make Your Own Silver Earrings or Pendant – Silversmithing Workshop for Beginners

Location: SilverAli studio, Drybrook, Gloucestershire

Join me for a hands-on jewellery-making workshop where you’ll design and create either a sterling silver pendant or a pair of earrings from scratch! Perfect for complete beginners, this fun and relaxed session introduces you to traditional silversmithing techniques – no prior experience needed.

With only four participants per session, you'll receive plenty of personal guidance in a supportive, small-group setting, ensuring you get the help you need when you need it.

What You’ll Experience:

• Design Time – I’ll help you develop your own personal idea, whether you’d like a simple cut-out, hammered texture, stamped detail, or a combination.

• Tool Discovery – Get hands-on with jeweller’s tools and learn what they do.

• Copper Practice – Before working with silver, you’ll have the chance to practise your stamping and texturing techniques on copper, giving you the freedom to experiment, make a few mistakes, and build your confidence without pressure.

• Making Your Jewellery – Shape, saw, hammer, stamp, file, and polish your designs, transforming raw silver into a finished pendant or pair of earrings, ready to wear.

Halfway through the workshop we'll take a short break for a biscuit and a drink. Feel free to bring a sandwich, snack or packed lunch if you’d like.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a unique, personalised piece of silver jewellery – handmade by you!

Who Can Join?

• Complete beginners welcome – no experience needed.

• Ages 16+ (Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult).

• Creative minds looking for a fun, practical experience!

Important Notes:

• No open-toe shoes or sandals allowed in my studio/workshop.

• Aprons provided – but wear something you don’t mind getting dusty.

• Good hand dexterity is required, as the workshop involves detailed hand tools and fine motor skills.

• Bring reading glasses if needed for close-up work.

• Workshop is on the first floor (not wheelchair accessible).

• Free parking on-site.

Cancellation & Booking Information:

If you need to cancel, please provide at least 14 days’ notice. Refunds are not available, but you’ll have the option to reschedule for an alternative date.
